Raising voices to save lives
The Black Living Donor Choir is an awareness initiative started by the Gift of Living Donation (GOLD) charity to raise awareness of living kidney donation in the Black African Caribbean community. We are ordinary Black men and women who made the decision to improve the lives of loved ones, friends and even strangers by donating one of our kidneys.

Founded by living kidney donors and recipients, the Black Living Donor Choir was born from a desire to turn personal stories of survival into a collective anthem of hope.

To educate, inspire, and advocate for living kidney donation within the Black community through the universal language of music, compassion, and lived experience.

Deeply rooted in local communities across the UK, we partner with NHS trusts, hospitals, and organisations to close the gap in Black donor registration.
